The Importance of Volunteers
DSCTV is almost entirely run by volunteers, except for Program Director Mike Klein, who is a fulltime employee, and Production Assistant Rick Tarara who is often seen operating cameras for local government meetings.
If there’s an event that you’d like to have on DSCTV, you can make it happen. You can get free instruction on how to operate cameras and sound equipment -- it only takes a few minutes to learn the basics, and 21st century camera equipment is light enough for almost anyone to carry.
